Cookie policy
Effective from: 15 September 2026
This is the English version of the Polish Polityka cookies. If the two ever differ, the Polish text applies. Neither version limits your rights under the GDPR or the ePrivacy rules.
This site doesn't store cookies or any other data on your device. That's why there's no consent banner: there's nothing to ask about.
2. What cookies are, and which rules apply
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser so it can read them later. Local storage, session storage and browser fingerprinting work in a similar way.
This site follows Article 399 of Poland's Electronic Communications Law (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej), which implements the EU ePrivacy rules. Storing information on your device, or reading it from there, needs your prior consent. The exception is when it's strictly necessary to transmit a communication, or to provide a service you've explicitly asked for. The President of the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) enforces these rules, and the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) does so where personal data is involved.
3. What this site does
- It sets no cookies, neither its own nor anyone else's.
- It doesn't use local storage or session storage.
- It has no analytics, ad pixels, social media buttons, or embedded maps or videos.
- It loads nothing from other companies' servers. Fonts and all other files are hosted on this site's own server.
- You pick the language through the address (/ or /en/), so there’s nothing to remember.
- Whether to reduce animation is read from your system settings ("reduce motion"). Again, nothing is stored.
- The server and its security layer don't set cookies either.
4. How the brief form works without cookies
Forms often use cookies to keep spam out. Here, the protection is built into the form itself:
- A hidden field holds a signed code (a token) that records when the form was opened.
- The server checks the signature, and checks that the form wasn't sent suspiciously fast.
- The token travels with the form and is never stored on your device.
The limit on how many briefs can come from one address uses a hash of the IP address, held on the server. It's described in the Privacy policy.
5. Server logs aren't cookies
The server keeps standard visit logs: IP address, time, the page requested and browser type. That happens on the server, not on your device, so they aren't cookies. Who can see them and how long they're kept is in the Privacy policy.
6. Links that leave the site
Email and phone links open your mail app or dialler. A few links go to public authorities’ websites, such as UODO and UOKiK. Once you’re there, their rules apply.
7. Your browser settings
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, usually under "Privacy". It won’t change anything here: this site works the same with or without them.
8. If anything changes
If I ever add something that stores data on your device (visitor statistics, for example), I'll update this page first. If it needs consent, I'll ask before anything is stored, and saying no won't lock you out of the site.
