What Polish copy costs, in euros
If you're launching in Poland, you'll get quotes that look nothing alike: a price per 1,000 characters from one writer, a flat fee from another, a monthly retainer from an agency. Here's what the Polish market charges, converted to euros, what the numbers leave out, and what to check before you hire.

The short answer
Copy for a typical five-page company website costs 2,000–3,000 zł (about €470–710) from a mid-level Polish copywriter and 2,500–5,000 zł (about €590–1,180) from an experienced one, according to mrdev-studio.pl. Agencies start at around 3,500 zł (about €820). All net of VAT.
My five-page package is €690.
How Polish copywriters price
Most Polish price lists quote per 1,000 characters including spaces, written *zzs* (*znaki ze spacjami*). 1,000 characters is roughly 150 words of Polish. English-speaking buyers tend to think in words, pages or projects, so it’s worth converting before you compare.
Flat per-project fees are the other common model, and retainers cover ongoing work like newsletters. Per-character pricing suits jobs where the text already exists – proofreading, editing, translation. It suits new copy less well: a ten-word tagline can take longer than a 2,000-character category page.
Polish market rates
Net prices as the sources quote them, gathered in September 2026, with rough euro equivalents. These are ranges from Polish buyer guides, not an official rate card – there isn’t one.
| PLN | About | Source | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Most common rate, per 1,000 characters | 20–40 zł | €5–9 | contentwriter.pl |
| Mid-level, per 1,000 characters | 40–80 zł | €9–19 | mrdev-studio.pl |
| Experienced, specialist or foreign-language, per 1,000 characters | 80–200 zł (some quote 120–300 zł) | €19–47 (€28–71) | mrdev-studio.pl, sayseo.pl |
| Company website, about 5 pages | 2,000–3,000 zł mid-level · 2,500–5,000 zł experienced · agencies from 3,500 zł | €470–710 · €590–1,180 · from €820 | mrdev-studio.pl |
| Single website page | 500–800 zł | €120–190 | kcmobile.pl |
| Landing page | 800–1,500 zł | €190–350 | kcmobile.pl |
| Product description, 300–500 words | 150–250 zł | €35–60 | kcmobile.pl |
| Monthly retainer | 1,000–2,800 zł | €240–660 | kcmobile.pl |
Euro figures converted at 4.25 zł to the euro and rounded. Check the current rate if you need precision.
One warning from the same guides: freelancercopywriter.pl and mrdev-studio.pl both treat anything under 20 zł (under €5) per 1,000 characters as a red flag that the text may simply be AI output.
Next to UK prices
If you usually buy copy in the UK, here's the comparison, based on UK cost round-ups from Whito and Wise.
| UK | Poland (sources above) | |
|---|---|---|
| Website page | £200–600 | 500–800 zł (about €120–190) |
| 5–10 page website | £1,000–5,000 | 2,000–5,000 zł for about 5 pages (about €470–1,180) |
| Landing page | £300–800 | 800–1,500 zł (about €190–350) |
| Product description | £30–100 | 150–250 zł (about €35–60) |
The UK day rate averages £480, according to the ProCopywriters 2025 figure cited by Whito.
Polish rates are lower, and that’s the honest reason many foreign brands look here. The catch is the same as anywhere: a low price per character tells you very little about what you’ll actually receive.
What AI did to the cheap end
It hollowed it out. Freelancehunt data reported by forumfirm.eu shows Polish writing jobs on the platform down 51.3% in January–May 2026 against the same months of 2025, with copywriting itself down 59.1%. The same data puts AI tool use among freelancers at 77.5%. For you as a buyer, that means a correct first draft in Polish now costs next to nothing. What you’re paying a writer for is everything a draft doesn’t have: knowing what to say to a Polish reader, what to leave out, and whether it all matches how your company actually works.
Translation, transcreation, or copy written in Polish?
Three different jobs, often quoted as if they were one.
| Translation | Transcreation | Copy written in Polish | |
|---|---|---|---|
| You send | Finished English text | Finished English copy | A brief |
| You get | The same text in Polish, faithful to the original | Polish copy that keeps the intent and tone, not the exact wording | New Polish copy built for your Polish reader |
| Good for | Manuals, terms, specs | Campaigns, websites and emails you've already written at home | A launch, or a market where your home copy won't land |
| Usually priced | Per character or word | Per character of the source | Per project |
I don't do certified (sworn) translation. For contracts or official documents you need a sworn translator (*tłumacz przysięgły*).
Transcreation is on my transcreation page; new copy starts with website copy or a landing page.
What to check before hiring a Polish copywriter from abroad
- Do they write Polish copy, or translate it? Ask for an example of copy written from a brief, not just a translation.
- Will they ask about your Polish reader? If the first questions are about word count, that tells you something.
- Is the quote a fixed sum, with a date? "Estimated, final price by character count" moves.
- How many revision rounds, and what counts as one? Two rounds is the Polish norm.
- When do the rights pass to you? Under Polish law a transfer of economic rights needs written form – an email "OK" isn't enough. Expect a short agreement, signed on paper or with a qualified e-signature.
- Can you brief in English? And how will you review Polish copy if nobody on your team reads it?
- What's their position on AI? A plain answer beats a slogan.
What I charge
Prices in euros, the same as Polish clients pay in złoty, converted at a fixed rate that’s reviewed once a year. No foreign-client premium.
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Website copy, up to 5 pages | €690 |
| Website copy, up to 10 pages | from €1,160 |
| Single page | from €130 |
| Landing page | from €330 |
| Naming | €360 |
| 5-email sequence | €360 |
| Product description, standard | €15 each |
| Transcreation PL↔EN | €19 per 1,000 characters of source (about 150 words), min. €100 |
| Editing, including AI drafts | €10 per 1,000 characters, min. €90 |
| Retainer | from €430 / month |
Prices are shown net of VAT. I’ll add a VAT line once that’s settled on my side.
Every price includes two revision rounds, a call at the start, a written quote with a date, and the transfer of rights once paid in full. The five-page package works out at roughly €46 per 1,000 characters if you insist on counting – the top of the experienced range above. The difference is what’s inside: the page plan, headings, meta titles and descriptions, form text, the call and the revisions.
Polish clients see the same prices in złoty on the Polish site. Everything else, with terms: pricing.
